He is a recipient of the Elder of the Burning Spear, a Presidential Honor for the successful development of leading brands and for protection of the environment. A thought leader who has spoken at renowned institutions like Harvard and Oxford, Chris brings valuable insights on integrating ESG principles and innovation into African trade, making him a key participant in the discussions during the webinar.

Wangui is a Partner at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, specializing in corporate law. She advises on commercial transactions, including joint ventures and acquisitions, across various jurisdictions. Wangui also provides guidance on telecommunications and data protection. As a co-author of the 2015 Kenya chapter on mergers and acquisitions in the International Financial Law Review, she addresses key trends in capital markets. An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Member of the New York State Bar, Wangui offers critical insights into corporate governance and compliance in the context of African trade, making her a valuable voice in the webinar discussions.

Jesse is the General Counsel and Director of Risk, Compliance, and Audit at M-KOPA, a leading connected asset financing company in Africa. In this role, he oversees corporate, commercial, regulatory, data privacy, and governance matters. A dual-qualified lawyer in New York and England & Wales, Jesse has extensive experience from his time at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and as an Executive Director at JPMorgan, where he advised businesses across the EMEA region. His prior role at the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority further enhances his expertise, making him a valuable participant in discussions on risk and compliance in the evolving landscape of African trade.

Senior Business Developer
Andile Malinga is an Independent Business Developer focused on InSAR applications in Sub-Saharan Africa, primarily in the mining sector. Prior to this, Andile served as an Environmental Scientist & Business Developer at Collecte Localisation Satellite CLS Southern Africa. A registered geologist with the Geological Society of South Africa, Andile is dedicated to using space solutions for the sustainable management of earthly resources. Andile holds an MSc in Earth Sciences from Stellenbosch University.
