Breaking Barriers: ALN Academy Supports WIRE’s International Women’s Day Event on Gender Equality in the Built Environment

The ALN Academy and ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna joined professionals in the built industry for an event hosted by the Women in Real Estate (WIRE) team. Held in celebration of International Women’s Day 2024, the event, themed “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” brought together industry leaders to discuss the pivotal role of women in the built environment.

Nicole Gichuhi, a partner at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, moderated the panel, which covered topics such as the integration of property investment into women’s overall financial planning, the appeal of gender-balanced companies to investors, and strategies for both public and private sectors to support women in construction. The discussion also touched on solutions for women entrepreneurs, tax incentives, and the challenges women-owned construction businesses face in securing funding.

This event reflects our focus on gender and sustainability, and this partnership emphasizes our commitment to creating an inclusive society where all contributions are recognized and valued. We are proud to collaborate with Women in Real Estate Kenya (WIRE) to support initiatives that empower women to lead and succeed.

We extend our gratitude to all the esteemed panelists for their insightful contributions and to everyone who attended for joining us in this important conversation.
